Review of the Soundcheck Studio LSP Power Cable, edited by Lorenzo Vivarelli, in the November 2023 issue 577 of SUONO magazine.

Starting the review, the author makes an evocative introduction to the world of high-end cables, with an ironic and sarcastic tone regarding the outrageous prices and miracle claims of the sector:

…net of the cinematic opening, remains the slightly sarcastic tone aimed at the free interpretation of those who work without too much morality to shoot simply very high prices and miraculous formulas…

The review proceeds with a fierce critique of the growing price gap in thecable market, highlighting growing frustration among consumers and stressing the importance of listening carefully before making expensive purchases:

…Today, however, an unbridgeable gap has developed in the vast majority of offers, even the poorly accredited ones, ranging from very cheap to unattainable; this results in a permanent frustration of the consumer, led to a chronic wait on his choices because, inevitably, “the more expensive the better” and must necessarily sound better…

After this introductory hat, begins the Review of the Soundcheck Audio loudspeaker cables model Studio LSP, with a focus on their aesthetic, technical and sound quality, including listening tests with different music tracks:

… They appear attractive both from a purely aesthetic point of view and with regard to the simple tactile appearance, being flexible (finally!) and covered with an excellent waxed cloth sock (of cotton in blue, the version entrusted to me). Those tested are finished both sides with pure copper treated BFA bananas, produced in Switzerland (but you can also have other endings, on request): From a technical point of view, everything revolves around pure electrolytic copper conductors, tinned and characterized by a diversification of conductive sections in number equal to eight, which in turn result in a double configuration of proprietary geometry.

The review concludes positively on the listening experience with Soundcheck Audio cables, highlighting their ability to return a live and vibrant sound and emphasizing the value of the investment despite the high price:

…Plastic and material (but also pleasantly “live”), in essence the Soundcheck Audio Studio LSP seems to enjoy to the full the best prerogatives of the products “handmade” and especially those made more for the taste of music than for a matter of just gain!
It’s not cheap, but all those money is worth it!
